Larissa Bell is a pediatric speech language pathologist with more than ten years of experience working with children with communication disorders in both public school and clinic settings. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University and her Master’s Degree from San Diego State University. During her career, Larissa has worked with hundreds of children and has extensive experience treating speech sound production disorders and developing programs to target all areas of language development. Larissa believes by working closely with families, children are able to maximize gains and generalize skills to other environments. As a parent of two young children of her own, she understands the challenges children can face when they are not able to communicate effectively. Her goal is to help children improve their communication skills through play-based activities and games that make speech therapy fun and rewarding for the whole family.

Parents are often not experts on communication development, but they are experts on their children. As a parent, you may notice your child:
Depending on your child's age, these can all be signs of a communication delay or disorder. A comprehensive evaluation can give you important information about your child's development and highlight your child's strengths and possible areas of weakness. Research shows that early diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders is a key predictor for positive future outcomes.
At Little Bell Speech, each child has an individualized treatment plan with goals to measure progress and growth. An important aspect of treatment is family education and making sure parents have the tools to work on skills outside of therapy sessions. Sessions are provided in your home, a place that your child already feels comfortable.
